ASHLAND — Zoning Board continues hearing on 116-unit residential project at 55 West Union Street. The board held a working session with applicant representative Lynne Sweet, Town Counsel Brian Winner, and DPW Superintendent Doug Small to address a sewer line currently running beneath Memorial Drive; town records proved incomplete, leaving multiple options under review including on-site relocation testing and conditional approval with modification rights. Architect peer reviewer Amy Latva-Kokko presented plans for a 52-foot, four-and-a-half-story building with 174 parking spaces and a 25 percent affordable-unit mix; she is preparing a report addressing neighborhood fit for the February 10 continued hearing.
The board approved all other business and unanimously recommended Alex Mironovas for appointment as an Associate Member of the board.
