Ashland Zoning Board of Appeals deferred two complex cases with June 23 continuances. Chair John Trefethen led the board to extend the statutory deadline for the 55 West Union Street 40B Comprehensive Permit hearing, which involves a 116-unit mixed-income rental development. The 167-169 Pleasant Street hearing for applicant James MacDonald's duplex-and-garages project also continued, pending MacDonald's submission of revised parking plans and Building Commissioner clarification on lot requirements.
At 76 Roberts Road, the board voted unanimously to close public comment on the Woodward family's farmer's porch variance; Director Jasmin Farinacci will draft a decision for board approval June 23.
