Ashland Cultural Council reconciles grant funds, plans scholarships. The Cultural Council accepted prior meeting minutes and moved forward with plans for two $500 high school scholarships using 20 percent of state grant funds annually. With year-to-date 2026 spending at zero and $10,000 in current funds plus $6,788 in reserve, the council is planning scholarship marketing while awaiting clarification on reserve fund use from town officials.
The Traffic Box community art project continues with artist Tara Bilotti painting one box and helping students paint others; Bilotti will present to the Traffic Commission on February 10.
