Ashland Zoning Board continues 40B review of 116-unit complex at 55 West Union Street. Chair John Trefethen and four members heard updates from project architect Talia Cannistra on revised building massing, landscaping, and site improvements made after two abutting-neighbor meetings; peer reviewer Amy Latva-Kokko confirmed progress on mass-reduction goals. The project proposes 87 market-rate and 29 income-restricted units on 4.9 acres in the Commercial Highway District.
The Board postponed formal waiver review, having received final plans that evening, and scheduled continuation hearings for February 17 and February 24, both at 7:00 PM. The Board also voted unanimously to recommend Kiran Gurran, a one-year resident with survey experience, for appointment as an Associate Member.
