ASHLAND — Zoning Board approves Special Permit for Nickerson Road garage. The board voted 3-0-1 to grant ORB Investments LLC approval to construct a contractor garage addition at 35 Nickerson Road, a pre-existing non-conforming property in the Industrial zone where property owner Richard Barbieri plans to rent the space to a tenant living in the existing house. Chair John Trefethen recused himself; the abstention came from Associate Member Stuart Siegel.
Separately, Director of Planning and Economic Development Jasmin Farinacci reported the town has absorbed public hearing notice and abutter notification costs of $160 to $200 per application, and will propose a revised fee schedule for the April 14 meeting.
