Ashland Zoning Board approves $75,000 commitment for 10-60 Main Street development after one year of hearings. Chair John Trefethen, Members Brian Forestal and Associate Member Ryan Sullivan voted 3-0-0 on January 13 to adopt the comprehensive permit for SLV Ashland, LLC authorizing 250 apartment units, 337 parking spaces, and mill building restoration. The applicant will pay $50,000 upon building permit issuance and $25,000 upon occupancy permit issuance to fund municipal parking and public safety access improvements.
Thirty-five conditions govern the project, including requirements for environmental monitoring, granite salvage for site improvements, and best efforts to lease ground floor commercial space. Town Counsel and the Planning Director will finalize the decision for filing; a 20-day appeal period follows.
