Ashland Open Space Committee votes to back solar permit enforcement across town lines. The committee voted unanimously to urge Hopkinton and Ashland to enforce Special Permit conditions for the Frankland Road solar facility, operated by Agilitas Energy since 2024. The facility has not fulfilled a critical condition requiring open space transfer to a conservation entity on parcels adjoining Hopkinton open space and containing sections of the trail system.

Agilitas is attempting to sell the Ashland parcel.
