Sustainability Committee sets three priorities for 2026.
Sustainability Committee · Meeting of January 8, 2026
ASHLAND — The Ashland Sustainability Committee settled on three 2026 priorities: Community Solar, Skip the Stuff waste reduction, and Planning Board education. Chair Ashwin Ratanchandani said the narrowed focus reflects prior years' failure to complete initiatives; committee members voted to direct Chuck Lidz and resident Rob Moolenbeek to lead Community Solar efforts, Zack Trapper Fey to lead Skip the Stuff, and Cara Hulme to lead Planning Board outreach. Sustainability Project Manager Sam Riley reported holiday lights recycling bins will be placed at Town Hall with GreenUp Ashland, and resident education postcards about MassSave will be distributed within weeks.
