Board of Health · Meeting of February 17, 2026
ASHLAND — The Ashland Board of Health waived $600 in housing violation fines and approved two pizza permits. The board voted unanimously to waive three citations at 21 Main Street after owner KJ Deghmane cited miscommunication between town departments that prevented timely inspections. The board unanimously approved exterior grease trap waivers for NY Pizza (owner Khaled Adam) at 1 West Union Street and Killa Pizza (owner Davi Ribeiro) at 9 Homer Avenue, conditional on maintenance requirements.
The board also continued discussion of a draft kratom regulation aligned with state House Bill 4394, scheduled for hearing March 26, with provisions including age restrictions, labeling, synthetic product bans, and Board enforcement authority.
