Ashland Board of Health approves two animal inspectors.

Ashland Board of Health unanimously approves two animal inspectors required by state law. The board voted 5-0 to accept nominations of Dona Walsh and Justine Grassey, who have completed state paperwork. Health Director Rajit Gupta reported that the Central Mass Mosquito Control Program has begun treating larvae near the Hopkinton town line and updated the board on ongoing housing enforcement at four addresses involving water damage and pest control.
Two confirmed cases of Giardia among siblings and one case of chikungunya from a Bolivia traveler were reported, and the Shared Services received a 30,000 dollar state grant for maternal health with a third community baby shower planned for June 30th.
