Ashland Planning Board continues two development hearings to August 13 while weighing data center zoning options. Members voted 4-0 to continue Middlesex Savings Bank's renovation proposal at 2 West Union Street after member Scott Pelletier questioned a temporary banking trailer's placement near drive-up traffic and Tricia Kendall said a proposed fence "does look like somewhat of a little jail cell." The board separately voted 5-0 to continue Tilton Sunrise LLC's 14-unit mixed-use proposal at 55 Tilton Avenue while the applicant works through stormwater review with the Conservation Commission. On data centers, Director of Planning Jasmin Farinacci relayed Town Counsel Lisa Mead's recommendation to bar the use through a zoning use-table change rather than a temporary moratorium.
The board also approved its June 25 minutes 4-0 and adjourned at 8:58 p.m. on a 5-0 vote, with Vice Chair Anna Tesmenitsky absent.
