Zoning Board · Meeting of June 23, 2026

ASHLAND — The Ashland Zoning Board of Appeals approved a special permit for a Roberts Road porch and pushed a 116-unit affordable housing hearing to July 14. Chair John Trefethen and members Brian Forestal and Stuart Siegel voted 3-0-0 to grant the 76 Roberts Road porch permit after Director of Planning and Economic Development Jasmin Farinacci corrected drafting errors in the decision. The board continued the 55 West Union Street 40B comprehensive permit hearing, covering 116 units including 29 income-restricted units, to July 14, with an extension of time to conclude it by July 29, voting 7-0-0.

At 167-169 Pleasant Street, applicant James MacDonald told the board he reduced curb cuts from three to two and added turnarounds; abutter Aaron Ladd said "I hope this goes forward." The board voted 7-0-0 to continue that hearing to July 14 pending a parking-space determination, and approved June 9 minutes 6-0-1.
