Planning Board continues three projects; approves YMCA design revisions.
Planning Board · Meeting of March 26, 2026
ASHLAND — Planning Board continues major development projects pending staff review. The board voted to continue three applications—55 Tilton Avenue special permit and site plan review, the 240-260 Pleasant Street synthetic turf field, and the 30 Memorial Drive YMCA—all to April 9. The YMCA informal vote showed six members in favor, though Chair Kendall and the board agreed to keep the public hearing open pending Town Counsel confirmation on surety bond and phasing language.
For the Pleasant Street recreational field, the applicant was asked to provide turf material data and coordinate with the Town Tree Warden on tree preservation. The board also discussed restructuring the Design Review Committee as an ad-hoc body of three members appointed per application, with expertise in architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, or town business ownership.
