Zoning Board · Meeting of July 28, 2026

ASHLAND — The Ashland Zoning Board of Appeals voted 7-0 to continue the 40B hearing on a 116-unit development at 55 West Union Street to August 11. Chair John Trefethen said the applicant, 55 West Union LLC, told the town Friday that soil borings were complete but the engineering report on borings and sewer capacity was not yet finished. The project includes 87 market-rate units and 29 units restricted to households earning at or below 80 percent of area median income.

The board also approved June 23 minutes 6-0-1, with Member Nathan Band abstaining, and July 14 minutes 7-0-0 after Director of Planning and Economic Development Jasmin Farinacci corrected a reference to Associate Member Ryan Sullivan's "re-appointment," not "re-election." Trefethen said "with the new term starting on September 1st we will have several openings on the board," pointing residents to the Select Board's Talent Bank form.
