Stormwater Advisory Committee approves prior minutes, awaits EPA permit.
Stormwater Advisory Committee · Meeting of February 3, 2026
ASHLAND — Stormwater Advisory Committee reviews permit delays and catch basin progress. Sofia Chrisafideis, Conservation and Stormwater Assistant, reported that 600, or 25 percent, of Ashland's stormwater catch basins have been cleaned in fiscal year 2026, and filed a grant application for culvert replacement funding through the Massachusetts ECO One Stop program. The committee discussed Waushakum Pond's EPA designation as Water Quality Limited for phosphorus impairment, which will require prioritized stormwater infrastructure improvements when the delayed federal MS4 Permit takes effect.
Doug Small, Head of the DPW Storm Water Division, presented three budget options for fiscal year 2027; the committee will present its recommendations to the Select Board before May town meeting budget votes.
