Stormwater Advisory Committee recommends $5 quarterly fee increase for residents.

Stormwater Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 3, 2026

Ashland Stormwater Advisory Committee recommends $5 per quarter fee increase for residential accounts. The panel voted unanimously on March 3 to recommend raising the residential rate from its current $8.35 per quarter, with commercial rates adjusted proportionally based on impervious surface area. Conservation and Stormwater Assistant Sofia Chrisafideis reported catchbasin repairs remain blocked by snow cover, though contractor budget exists to clean an additional 429 of the town's 2,400 catchbasins and evaluate their depths when conditions permit.

Committee member Elizabeth Byrnes will audit stormwater billing records with the Department of Public Works to verify correct property code assignments. Budget votes on the fee increase are scheduled for May 2026.
