Planning Board · Meeting of September 24, 2026

Ashland's Planning Board continued a contested 55 Tilton Avenue project over stormwater concerns. The board voted on a roll call to push Tilton Sunrise LLC's special permit and site plan review for a 14-unit, two-flex-bay mixed-use building to October 22, after planning staff said the site "cannot add any more water into their subsurface stormwater system." Member Angel Khazadian is recused from the matter, and members Anna Tesmenitsky and Deepa Venkat were not present for that discussion, leaving the board, in one member's words, "in a holding pattern." Separately, the board kept debating how to onboard a roughly 10-person volunteer pool for its planned Design Review Committee before any project actually requires one. A Community Preservation Committee liaison reported a resident is seeking $100,000 to study redesigning the middle school athletic fields.

The board adjourned on a 3-0 roll call vote of Tricia Kendall, Scott Pelletier and Paul Montesino.
