Ashland Zoning Board approves Roberts Road special permit. The board voted unanimously to grant a special permit for a front porch addition to the pre-existing nonconforming residential property at 76 Roberts Road, following evidence heard at a prior meeting and a decision drafted by Director Jasmin Farinacci. Two other cases were continued: a 40B Comprehensive Permit application for 55 West Union Street proposing a 116-unit housing development with 29 income-restricted units was continued to July 28 pending completion of a sewer report; and a variance and special permit request for 167-169 Pleasant Street, involving demolition and reconstruction of a duplex with attached garages, was continued to July 14, with applicant James MacDonald having presented revised plans showing reduced curb cuts and a front setback of 20.6 feet.
