ASHLAND — Upper Charles River Trail committee maintains focus on northern route despite discussion of southern alternative. 8 committee members decided to maintain the established Northern route to Hopkinton State Park while deferring consideration of a southern connection for future action, following review of an April 10 site walk. Members including David Rosenblum, Tony Lewis, Judy Rosenthal, Marty Ring, Doug Costello, Rob Scherer, Preston Crow, and Tim Henderson explored potential southern route options from Spring Street to Ashland State Park with Hopkinton representatives Peter Legoy and Robert Weidneckt. Separately, representatives from Ashland, Sherborn, and Framingham discussed a proposed East Coast Greenway connection via Barber Reservation, with Sherborn agreeing to contact CSX.
