Ashland Select Board approves Light Equipment Operator appointment, sets July 15 meeting date. Chair Brandi Kinsman and members Makeda Keegan, Yolanda Greaves, and Joseph Magnani voted unanimously to accept Town Manager Patrick Rose's appointment and the prior session's minutes. Town Counsel Brian Winner outlined the comprehensive permit process for three active 40B projects, stating the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities is unlikely to reverse its course on re-review.
Town Manager Michael Herbert presented a Stabilization Fund spreadsheet showing a balance of 8.3 million dollars after a 2.2 million dollar withdrawal for FY26; another 1.8 million dollars will be withdrawn for FY27, pending Free Cash analysis. Herbert announced Ashland's Halloween event was selected for display at the Library of Congress.
