S&P Global Ratings Revises Ashland's Outlook to Positive

S&P Global Ratings has revised its outlook on Ashland's credit rating to positive from stable, a signal of improving fiscal footing for the town, according to a ratings notice published Wednesday. The town also rolled out a new online licensing and permitting portal this week.

Ashland has launched a new license and permitting portal called OpenGov, according to a News Flash posted on the town's website. Town officials framed the platform as a way for residents and businesses to apply for and track permits online; further details on which permit types are covered were not immediately available on the town site.
