Open Space Committee defers prior minutes, focuses on solar project and draft plan review.

ASHLAND — Open Space and Recreation Committee assigns sections of draft plan to members for editing. Roberta Soolman, Chairperson, said she would write to the Select Board on February 12 to confirm when and to whom its letter regarding the Frankland Road Solar Project was sent, with recipients including Agilitas, the prospective buyer of 0 Cross Street, the Ashland Conservation Commission, the Building Commissioner, the Board of Health, and counterparts in Hopkinton. Greg Wands reported that the town engineer has departed and stormwater compliance tasks have been redistributed to non-engineers, with the town facing potential annual fines of up to three million dollars for noncompliance.
Marty Ring noted the Upper Charles Trail Committee may employ an engineer to complete trail work using funds that expire December 31, 2026.
