Open Space Committee approves prior meeting minutes, reviews draft plan.

ASHLAND — The Ashland Open Space and Recreation Committee approved its prior meeting minutes and reached consensus on the content and branding of its draft Open Space and Recreation Plan before submission to the state. Chairperson Roberta Soolman presided over all six members present via Zoom on April 14. The committee decided it must review the draft, which includes land inventory, ADA requirements, and demographics, before approving whether the committee's logo and member names appear on the final plan.
Greg Wands reported that the Conservation Commission has approved multiple stormwater permits for projects including Connect Church's artificial turf field and downtown housing units. Martin Ring cautioned that the Upper Charles Trail's $2 million reimbursement grant must be spent by December 31st or the funds will be forfeited.
