MetroWest REPC receives grant opportunity with June 1 deadline

Metrowest Regional Emergency Planning Committee · Meeting of April 2, 2026

ASHLAND — MetroWest Regional Emergency Planning Committee receives fiscal 2025 grant funding opportunity. The committee met April 2 and learned that applications for the federal fiscal year 2025 Emergency Management Performance Grant program are due June 1, 2026. Funds must be expended by June 30, 2027, with no extensions, and closeout documentation is due August 16, 2027.

The committee also heard that a multi-phase training exercise series, submitted to the New England Regional Assessment Committee in 2024, remains under review. If approved, the three-phase initiative would span fall 2026 through June 2027 with community capacity building, a regional tabletop exercise, and a full-scale emergency response exercise.
