Library Trustees Reelect Goss as Chair for Next Year

Ashland Library Board reelects officers, plans FY27 budget cuts. The Board of Library Trustees unanimously reelected Chair Claire Goss, Vice Chair Linda Weene, and Secretary Martha Coleman. Director Meena Jain's library will reduce the materials budget from $75,000 to $70,000 and eliminate the professional development line, with potential supplemental funding sought from the Friends of the Library.
Assistant Director and Director of Youth Services Lindsay Ward reported strong programming engagement: children's programs drew over 1,400 attendees across 45 programs in April, while a new summer intern, Connor Brown, a recent Master of Library Science graduate, has joined the youth services team.
