Library Trustees Approve Four Policies, Set Level Budget

Ashland Library Trustees approve four policies, set level FY27 budget. The Board of Library Trustees, chaired by Claire Goss, approved the Art Gallery, Children's Room, Volunteers, and Meeting Room policies while tabling the Code of Conduct and Staff policies. The FY2027 budget will maintain level funding while absorbing $25,000 in reductions to materials, professional development, and office supplies.
Library Director Meena Jain flagged concerns over potential cuts to the popular Hoopla digital service. The library received a grant to install 30 new computers and is also installing new security cameras.
