Library Lines Up Eight Programs For Monday, Tuesday

ASHLAND — The Ashland Public Library opens the week with eight virtual and in-person programs across Monday and Tuesday, including a live talk with presidential doodler Heather Rogers and a cook book club centered on ice cream, while five town boards and committees convene over the same stretch.

The Ashland Public Library opens the week with a full slate of virtual and in-person programming. Monday, Aug. 17 brings a virtual look at "The Divas of Broadway" (Part 2) and a live-streamed talk with presidential doodler Heather Rogers marking America's 250th anniversary, alongside an in-person Monday Knit and Crochet Club and a Teacher Tales session with Mindess Elementary's Ms. Johnson for incoming first graders.

Tuesday, Aug. 18 continues with a virtual walking tour of Paris's Luxembourg Garden, an in-person cook book club focused on "Ice Cream," a Teacher Tales visit with kindergarten teacher Ms. Corbin, and Clocktown Rockers, a music program for children age two to five with a caregiver.

COMING UP

Ashland's Conservation Commission meets in hybrid format Monday, Aug. 17, followed by the Board of Health on Zoom and the Library Board of Trustees in hybrid format Tuesday, Aug. 18. The Town Clerk's office runs ballot testing Wednesday, Aug. 19, and the Upper Charles Trail Committee meets via Zoom Thursday, Aug. 20. The library's Aug. 17-18 program lineup is detailed above.
