Conservation Commission votes to seek outside counsel for hearing

Ashland Conservation seeks outside counsel for 40B conflict. The Conservation Commission voted 5-0-0 to request Select Board permission to hire independent legal counsel for a hearing on the 10-60 Main Street 40B Development. Vice Chair Carl Hakansson reported that the Town Counsel's firm represents both the town and the project applicant, creating a conflict of interest.

The hearing is scheduled for March 2, 2026.
