ASHLAND — Conservation Commission continues development review amid stormwater concerns. The Ashland Conservation Commission continued its hearing on a Notice of Intent for The Gutierrez Company's 61 Waverly Street commercial project, with Vice Chair Carl Hakansson and members Owen Ackerman, Preston Crow, Gene Crouch, and William Moulton raising unresolved questions about peak discharge rates, subsurface bedrock, and the adequacy of existing drainage infrastructure beneath Waverly Street. The applicant's engineering team offered to replace the existing 12-inch drain line as a condition of approval, but commissioners requested independent review of that design.
The hearing continues March 2 at 7:05 p.m., with a second session set for March 16.
