Conservation Commission continues Ballard Road development hearing

Conservation Commission · Meeting of February 23, 2026

Ashland Conservation Commission continues nine-home Ballard Road project hearing. The stormwater permit for Depietri Group's development was continued to March 9 after residents reported a recurring groundwater breakthrough on neighboring property. Commission Vice Chair Carl Hakansson ordered a peer review and site visit to investigate the issue before proceeding.

The commission also unanimously approved revised plans for the Algonquin Trail and Captain Eames Circle project and hired attorney Dennis Murphy for an upcoming 40B affordable housing case at 10-60 Main Street, with the Select Board capping the fee.
