Conservation Commission approves two stormwater permits
Conservation Commission · Meeting of April 13, 2026
ASHLAND — Conservation Commission issues two stormwater management permits while delaying action on residential development. The board approved permits for a mixed-use development at 9-49 Homer Avenue proposed by Charles Zammuto and a synthetic turf field and parking lot at 240-260 Pleasant Street by Metrowest Facilities, LLC. Both projects feature subsurface infiltration systems to manage stormwater runoff.
The Homer Avenue permit was approved unanimously; the Pleasant Street permit passed 4-0-1 with Commissioner William Moulton abstaining. Three additional applications were continued to April 27, including a controversial Highland Road and Ballard Road residential development facing Department of Public Works concerns about groundwater issues and drainage system capacity.
