Ashland Community Preservation Committee narrowly approves Collins property purchase. Aaron Ladd led a 4-3 vote to recommend acquiring 11 acres at 41 Lincoln Road, with funding from the Community Preservation Fund covering both the property purchase at less than appraised value as of May 7, 2026, and $40,000 for demolition and conservation restrictions. Rob St.

Germain of the Town Forest Land Committee said a remote appraisal would support state grant applications. The committee also approved investing in a four-million-dollar certificate of deposit to generate interest revenue while preserving four million dollars in free cash for future projects.
