ASHLAND — The Open Space and Recreation Committee unanimously authorized Chairperson Roberta Soolman to submit an application for a booth at Ashland Day and committee member Ashwini Chitnavis to purchase supplies not to exceed $450 for a fall event. Committee member Marty Ring expressed preference for repeating last year's well-received activity at Ashland Day. The committee received updates on several projects, including the Upper Charles Trail initiative, which has $2 million in funding due to be expended by December 31 with town staff working on a feasible design.
The Land Stewardship Committee expects to conduct its first hay cut at the end of June or beginning of July, with Eastleigh Farms handling the hay; last year's cut produced 300 bales.
