Ashland Switches to OpenGov Portal for All Town Licensing and Permits
The town has switched to a new online licensing and permitting system called OpenGov, and residents doing any kind of business with Town Hall will want to take note before their next permit application.
TOWN HALL
Ashland has moved its licensing and permitting functions to OpenGov, a new online portal replacing the previous system. The town is encouraging anyone who needs a license or permit — whether for a business, construction project, or other regulated activity — to visit the new platform. Details and a link are available at ashlandmass.com.
Also on the near horizon: the June monthly bulk-item and electronics recycling drop-off is scheduled for Saturday, June 13. Residents looking to dispose of electronics or oversized items should plan accordingly.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Ashland Public Library and Friends of the Ashland Public Library have a full slate set for Saturday, June 13. The Friends are holding their 2-Day Book Sale, giving readers a chance to pick up gently used titles at low prices. Also Saturday morning, the library hosts Saturday Stories: Pride Party, a storytime celebration geared toward families with young children. Rounding out the day is an In-Person Scrapbook Crop Event for crafters who want to work on their projects in a community setting.
