Ashland Enters Final Week of June With Packed Public Meeting Schedule Monday

ASHLAND — With no town hall announcements or school district news breaking in the past 24 to 48 hours, the dominant story this Sunday is what's coming: a packed Monday and Tuesday schedule of public meetings and community programs kicks off the final days of June.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Ashland Public Library has a full run of programs starting Monday, June 29. Families with children in kindergarten through third grade can drop into LEGO Club, and the Monday Knit and Crochet Club returns in person for its regular weekly gathering.

Also Monday evening, the library presents a virtual lecture as part of its Celebrating America's 250th series: historian Bruce E. Mowday will discuss "Common Soldier: Uncommon Hero," examining the experiences of ordinary soldiers in the Revolutionary War. Registration information is available through the library's new events calendar.

Tuesday, June 30 brings three more library programs: Clocktown Rockers, a music and movement session for children ages 2 to 5 with a caregiver; Garden to Kitchen Pizza Making for grades 1 through 5; and an in-person Gentle Yoga session for adults.

The Library Board of Trustees also holds its monthly meeting Tuesday, June 30.
