Ashland Committee approves $845,000 for Lincoln Road land acquisition
Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of April 28, 2026
Ashland Committee unanimously approves $845,000 to purchase property for town forest. The Community Preservation Committee voted 8-0-0 to acquire the 41 Lincoln Road property at $845,000, overriding a second appraisal of $700,000. Member Aaron Ladd presented three options for the acquisition; the committee chose the higher amount after learning that executor Bob Zinck rejected the lower offer and had another buyer.
Rob St. Germain explained that the property's development potential is limited by wetlands, an existing septic system, and insufficient road frontage, supporting the higher valuation.
